It's a well established and largely undisputed fact that selling a home such as those within the Miami Beach real estate market is by no means an easy task. Many homeowners have seen their properties idle on the market for over two months, especially if they haven't taken the proper steps that so many Miami Beach realtors recommend in order to improve the odds of a sale like proper pricing. Thankfully, Miami has now lost its status as the toughest place to sell a home.

Chicago has now trounced Miami as the toughest market in which to sell a home, with the typical property spending about 220 days. Amusingly, Chicago has surpassed its neighbor to the southeast by just a single day as the typical home in a market like Miami Beach real estate takes an average of 219 days to find a buyer.

Even more interestingly, South Florida as a whole managed to hold onto the unwanted top position for three consecutive years. This year, the number of days dropped significantly by more ten percent since February and may continue to drop if the much speculated wave of Miami Beach real estate foreclosures doesn't come to fruition. As a seller, this should be a bit of welcome news knowing that things are slightly looking up.
