Whitman Lazenby will be opening its first American location in the new expanded Bal Harbour Shops. Bal Harbour negotiated a land deal with a nearby Church that will add 200,000 square feet to the shopping thoroughfare. Whitman Lazenby will take up approximately 100,000 square feet of this. A representative released this statement regarding the department stores decision to join the Bal Harbour family, "In the past couple of years the percentage of international tourists shopping at Bal Harbour has grown to more than 70 percent.
