Our pick for the most romantic home in Miami this Valentine’s Day, is far and away 100 Palm Island Avenue. This Mediterranean Masterpiece is epic and has some of the most incredible views in all of Miami. The home itself is just over 12,000 square feet and sits on a 30,000 square foot waterfront lot. With ten bedrooms and eleven and one half baths, 23.4 million is not a high asking price. The home has a deep water dock and a large swimming pool perfect for accommodating a yacht and enjoying the incredible sunset views available of the Biscayne Bay and Downtown Miami. If you are a frequent entertainer, there is a two story guest home and two chef ready kitchens, one indoor, and one out. You will simply fall in love with this home!
If you do not fall in love with 100 Palm Island Avenue, you will no doubt fall in love with the neighborhood! Palm Island is equidistant from Miami Beach and Downtown Miami and Brickell and is located on 395. Within five minutes in each direction you can enjoy the commerce of the big city as well as the shopping and distractions of the beauty of Miami Beach. There is so much to recommend it, you will scarcely find anything wrong with the location of this island. It is guarded 24 hours a day and has its’ own park and recreation area for residents that includes a basketball court, racketball court, tennis courts, and children’s playground. For more information on the homes in Palm Island or other homes worthy of adoration, contact us today!

With the Boat Show, Fashion Week, and the upcoming Food and Wine Festival, Valentine’s Day may have slid under the radar for some. Luckily, area restaurants have incredible prix fixe menus that are sure to make anyone look like a knight in shining armour and ignite flames. WE would like to highlight some of the more creative and inventive menus in Miami for this Valentine’s Day. Bon Apetit!
De Rodriguez Cuba: This restaurant is relatively unknown and it is located on Miami Beach and it has gotten rave reviews from foodies and commoners alike for its’ completely out of the box Cuban faire. The prix fixe menu is $70 per person and diners will enjoy, ceviche , oysters, arugula and pear salad, and lamb chops or Chilean Sea Bass Filet.
Villa Azur: The menu at Villa Azur is a la carte, however the Cupid Specials are sure to delight any diner. Some of the specials include a “Flirty Assortment” of appetizers, “Forbidden Fruit” dessert, and special cocktails such as the “Passionate Kiss”. The clever names are no match to the more expert food at this incredible dining establishment.
BLT Steak: BLT Steak which is located at The Betsy Hotel, is one of the little known gems in South Beach. The décor is one part Rock and Roll and one part throw back from Hemingway’s era in the Keys. BLT Steak has a Valentine’s prix fixe menu that will surely amaze in the most understated and cool way. They will be offering crispy pork belly, butter poached lobster with smoked oysters, and chocolate truffle torte for desert. Ooh lala!

34 La Gorce Circle has been listed on the market for $18.5 million. This home is just under 5,000 square feet on a 23,000 square foot waterfront lot. Recommending it are 6 bedrooms and 6.5 baths with incredible views of the Biscayne Bay and Downtown Miami. It’s sunset vistas are truly incredible and the quiet neighborhood of La Gorce Island makes you feel as if you are millions of miles away from what really is just a short drive to the city. The interior and exterior amenities abound. Inside, you have an incredible remodeled Italian chef ready kitchen, marble and wood floors, large florida room, and extra butlers pantry. The exterior of the home features a summer kitchen, boat dock, large back yard, palm and fruit trees, and a three car garage. This home is not likely to remain on the market long.
La Gorce Island is one of the man made barrier islands that comprise Miami Beach. It is the last at the tip of North Bay Road and it is named in conjunction with the area containing La Gorce Country Club. This is one of the premier areas to live in Miami. You will be astonished at how quaint and quiet the neighborhood considering how incredibly close it is to Bal Harbour and Miami Beach. Core Logic announced that the foreclosure rate has fallen in Miami to 14.59%, which is 3.13% percentage points down from a year earlier. The number of delinquent mortgage loans in the Miami area fell 3.87%. The definition of delinquent is more than 90 days and the rate includes foreclosures and mortgages where a lender has already taken title to the property. It has been steadily declining over the past two years and the actual prices foreclosed homes are fetching are at all time highs due to the demand, both foreign and domestic. The delinquency is above national averages and across Florida the rate us 10.41% and 2.97 % nationwide.
The market in Miami is experiencing incredible gains currently, and sellers are fetching top dollar for homes. Inventory in Miami Beach in both condos and homes is below what economists consider a healthy level. Buyers looking for a bargain are coming up empty handed in Miami Beach. With 100 new buildings planned there will be an influx in inventory but not until 2014. Last year the highest priced home was sold and this year the highest priced condo was sold. We Expect big things from the market in 2013, and the foreclosure rate to continue to slow.
